
Elsie from a beautiful mess has inspired me to take her four simple goals before 2013 challenge. What turned me on to her idea is the rule to not choose result oriented goals, but rather something that involves positive actions. I'm so totally in! Here are my goals...

1. Be more spontaneous. This one is my favorite. I have this huge list. Kind of like a bucket list on a much smaller scale. Let's just say I don't cross things off of it enough and being the impulsive person by nature that I am, my lack of spontaneity as of late is killing me a little inside each day. There's a reason this is my no. 1!
2. Cook new things. I don't cook enough to begin with so this one should come pretty easily, right? I have a stack of recipes to try and while most of them involve sugar {I heart baking}, I'm sure there's a few healthy meals in there somewhere.
3. Be adventurous in my photography. I love taking photographs with all my heart but sometimes it's easy to get in a bit of a rut. I want to challenge myself to try new things with my cameras and I think the best place to start is by going back to the basics.
4. Don't be afraid to turn the page. This one is really personal for me. Simply put; I need to let go of the things in my life that need letting go of and grab onto the ones that make me happiest.
Elsie mentions there should be a reward for each goal as it's accomplished but I think the real reward is the fulfillment they'll bring. Ahem... okay, who am I kidding... while accomplishing these will we super-awesome, I'm sure I can think of a few things I'd love to reward myself with.
